Context and use
ANC = total WBC × ((segmented neutrophils + bands) / 100)
The result is always returned in cells/µL, even when the CBC reports WBC in ×10^3/µL or ×10^9/L.
Use bands only when they are reported separately; otherwise leave the field blank or enter 0.
