ATRIA bleeding score

HematologyBeta toolThis tool is in beta. It has undergone internal validation but still requires additional testing. Always confirm the data entered and the results obtained before clinical use. It should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions.
Age is required; ATRIA applies to adults. Use completed whole years only. Fractional ages are invalid and should be rejected.
years
Required because the original ATRIA anemia threshold is sex specific.
Enter hemoglobin in g/dL; values reported in other units require clinical conversion before use. Thresholds are <13 g/dL for male and <12 g/dL for female.
g/dL
Severe renal disease presentExplicit yes/no confirmation is required. Omitting the field is invalid and must not be treated as false. Record severe renal disease only when it has been clinically established; this field does not calculate it from eGFR or dialysis information.
History of prior diagnosed hemorrhageExplicit yes/no confirmation is required. Omitting the field is invalid and must not be treated as false. Use a clinically documented history of hemorrhage.
History of hypertensionExplicit yes/no confirmation is required. Omitting the field is invalid and must not be treated as false. Use a clinical history of hypertension; this item does not use a current blood-pressure threshold.

Clinical noticeEducational bleeding-risk estimate only. Confirm every ATRIA input clinically and do not use the score as the sole reason to withhold anticoagulation.
