Context and use
Let central_bap_count = I(bun_mg_dl > 25) + I(altered_mental_status = true) + I(pulse_bpm > 109). Then assign BAP-65 class as follows: Class I (numeric 1) if central_bap_count = 0 and age_years <= 65; Class II (numeric 2) if central_bap_count = 0 and age_years > 65; Class III (numeric 3) if central_bap_count = 1; Class IV (numeric 4) if central_bap_count = 2; Class V (numeric 5) if central_bap_count = 3. Altered mental status is defined as GCS <14 or physician designation of disoriented, stupor, or coma.
