Context and use
BRUE classification: the event must be sudden, last less than 60 seconds, include at least one qualifying feature, resolve back to baseline, and have no explanation identified after evaluation.
Lower risk: age >60 days, gestational age ≥32 weeks, postconceptional age ≥45 weeks, first event, no CPR by a trained provider, and no concerning history or examination.
