Context and use

Method

Normalize cholesterol and triglycerides to mg/dL; LDL-C = total cholesterol - HDL-C - (triglycerides / 5).

Conversion

Cholesterol: mmol/L × 38.67; triglycerides: mmol/L × 88.57. The result returns in the total-cholesterol unit.

Block if triglycerides ≥ 400 mg/dL or ≥ 4.5 mmol/L. Warn if calculated LDL-C < 70 mg/dL or < 1.8 mmol/L.
